Marta Garrido Macías (Coord.), María Alonso Ferres, Francisca Expósito, Marina Muñoz González, Gemma Sáez, Mª Dolores Sánchez Hernández and Laura Villanueva-Moya have published the report Conciliar o desistir: El coste invisible de la maternidad en el ámbito académico, published by Editorial Universidad de Granada (EUG).
The study was funded through the Grant Program of the Vice-Rectorate for Equality, Inclusion and Social Commitment, within the University of Granada’s 2025 Own Research and Transfer Plan, with Marta Garrido Macías as principal investigator.
The report analyzes the invisible cost that motherhood entails for the academic careers of women in the University of Granada community, addressing the work-life balance challenges and gender equity issues faced by women in academia.
